Tristan Rogers' fans will no doubt be thrilled to learn that he has every intention of sticking around in Genoa City for at least another year. The actor, who portrays Colin Atkinson on The Young & the Restless, just inked a new deal that will keep him onscreen at the CBS soap for awhile longer.

Rogers recently returned from his holiday break in Australia and was happy to take to his Twitter to update fans on what's happening in his world.

"Ok guys and gals I"m back from oz and raring to get back to work on Jan 6. Was great to be home with my mum. Whats in store? Cant say. So what can I say? Not a whole lot. However, it seems more compelling than some of the 'fare' we've had of late. Think you'll like it. I am at Y&R for another year. Doesn't mean I won't do other stuff. But my mind is there and I want to make it prominent in daytime.." said Rogers.

When he speaks of more compelling things coming, he no doubt means the fact that Charles Pratt Jr. has taken over head writing duties from Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman. He officially began back in November and his work is expected to start showing up onscreen later this month. Pratt has previously worked with Y&R's executive producer, Jill Farren Phelps, and he seemed to be able to balance out her "soap killer" instincts that have been obvious ever since she took the reins at CBS two years ago.

Are you glad to hear that Rogers is invested in staying with the show and giving Pratt a chance to work some magic with his storyline? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
