Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars's "Uptown Funk" promised it was gonna give it to ya, and now it's kicking off the new year by doing just that. After 19 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 of female domination, two men finally take the No. 1 spot away from Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor, all thanks to a little funk.

Yes, after several weeks in the runner's up spot, "Uptown Funk" crowns the Hot 100 this week, according to Billboard. It's been a long time coming for the lead single from Ronson's forthcoming album Uptown Special. The single has been a mainstay at the top of the digital downloads chart for weeks now and once again returned to the summit of sales this week, moving 382,000 downloads. "Uptown Funk" also surged on streaming and radio, making it an easy replacement for Taylor Swift's "Blank Space."

"Blank Space" left a, well, blank space at the top of the Hot 100 after crowning the chart for seven weeks. After dominating the charts, "Blank Space" stumbled to No. 2 this week. This is actually the first week since November when Swift didn't top the charts - previously she held the No. 1 on the Hot 100 with "Shake It Off" (which landed at No. 7 this week).

Meanwhile, Hozier continues to play the bridesmaid to everyone else's bride, as his single "Take Me to Church" holds at No. 3.

Another singer-songwriter from across the pond comes just below Hozier, as Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" jumped up three spots to No. 4.

The tender hearted are followed up by a double dose of Trainor, whose singles "Lips Are Movin'" and "All About That Bass" respectively fall at Nos. 5 and 6.

There were no new songs in the top 10 this week. Beneath Swift's "Shake It Off," familiar Hot 100 singles from Sam Smith ("I'm Not the Only One"), Nick Jonas ("Jealous") and Maroon 5 ("Animals") come in at Nos. 8-10.
