Australian singer/songwriter Chet Faker has been one of the revelations of 2014 with this debut artist album Built on Glass. After a busy year of touring in support of the album, Faker — real name Nick Murphy — is ready to enter the larger, mainstream, American market and is looking to become a festival mainstay in 2015. He kicked off the year making that statement by performing his single "Gold" on the Ellen show with a full band, including Dave Harrington (Darkside) on bass, Kirk Schoenherr on guitar and Sam Hirschfelder. As one of Ellen's "favorite new artists," the "Talk Is Cheap" singer delivers a soulful performance with the help of his talented band.
His appeal reaches across many different worlds, from pop to dance to indie, making him an artist that feels authentic and easy to latch on to for fans of different sounds.
