Normally when we refer to electronic music and Tomorrowland, we're talking about a music festival in Belgium. This time however, we're referring to the forthcoming concert series from Kraftwerk to take place at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles (it was a bad joke and we apologize). In all seriousness however, the pioneering German electronic group will bring its collective retrospective "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8" to California in March.
The touring residency made stops in New York City, Dusseldorf and London during 2012, and featured Kraftwerk playing two shows a day for a four day stretch, one for each of the group's eight albums, accompanied with excellent 3D special effects.
Being that the group doesn't tour too frequently, don't expect to walk up and get a ticket. Registration for tickets will run from December 3-6, with sales going down on December 11. If you don't end up getting tickets to this gig and you're desperate, the band will be playing a pair of shows in Mexico City before they come to California. The "1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8" title won't last too long however. Kraftwerk leader Ralf Hütter mentioned this year that the group is working on a new album, its first since 2003's Tour de France soundtracks.
