It is sad that we all kind of expect Lindsay Lohan to screw up, and what is sadder is probably the fact that she always delivers. In November, she was granted an extension because she had 138 hours of community service to complete out of an original 240 hours that were handed down to her in connection with a 2012 case. At that time of sentencing, community service for the often-in-trouble Lohan seemed like a gift, but she apparently has not seen it that way. Lohan does not have her hours completed yet and that could mean jail time for the fallen star.

According to a report by TMZ, Lohan is nowhere near completing those hours, and she is hoping that by making yet another excuse the court will grant her yet another extension.

"Lindsay is due in court Wednesday[, Jan. 28] to prove she completed her community service in connection with her 2012 reckless driving case ... where she slammed into an 18-wheeler on PCH. She was required to perform 240 hours of community service, but on Nov. 6, 2014 -- when she was required to show proof of completion -- her lawyer, Shawn Holley, told hizzoner LiLo had completed nearly half the hours," says the source.

She was given a few extra days's extension to complete her hours, but the reality is that she is never going to make it.

"Her excuse ... [is that] the community service center in London was closed for two weeks during the holidays and she ended up in the hospital with a mosquito virus. Here's the problem ... she got the virus while vacationing in Bora Bora, instead of putting in her time," says the source.

The problem is that rather than taking things seriously and doing as the court directs, Lohan always shows up unprepared but with a multitude of excuses. Even Oprah Winfrey has taken her under her wing and tried to help Lohan get her life back on track, but she always seems to screw up something serious, doesn't she? While the star is not expected to be in court on Jan. 28, she could get jail time. Do you think she is headed back to a cell for a while? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
