It's been 18 years since Faith No More released their sixth studio effort, the completely vicious Album of the Year. The band is readying the follow-up album, and they are also hitting the road for the first time in five years this spring. Faith No More will kick off their next trek in Vancouver on April 15 and wrap things up a month later in Philadelphia. "Superhero," the second single from the band's untitled album, will drop in March.

"Here we go," bassist Bill Gould wrote for the tour announcement, Rolling Stone notes. "First North American tour dates, some in cities we haven't played in over 17 years. We are armed with the new material and ready for whatever comes our way."

Fans who attend the shows will get a sneak preview of the album prior to its May release. "Superhero" will be available as a vinyl single on March 17 and a digital download on March 31. It follows the lead single, "Motherf*cker," which dropped in November.

The group dusted off their stage show for a surprise live performance at Amoeba Records last year. They ran through tunes like "Ashes to Ashes," "Spirit" and "Matador," among others.
