Sam Smith entered the stage confident and ready to slay the song that got him on the map. Backed by a string section and gospel choir, the UK crooner also welcomed his idol, nine-time Grammy award winner Mary J. Blige and traded off verses with her for "Stay With Me." The whole crowd looked emotional as the two effortlessly delivered the love song.

Smith won Best New Artist earlier in the evening as well as Best Pop Vocal Album for In The Lonely Hour. He was also nominated Record of the Year and Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Stay with Me" as well as Album of the Year for In The Lonely Hour.
