Nerdist combined the catchy beat of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" with Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin's affinity for killing off his series' main characters into a hilarious video.

The video features George R.R. Martin (Nick Mundy) sitting in a castle with one of his main characters and fan favorite, Daenerys Targaryen (Emily Rudd). The chat with the Mother of Dragons begins cordially enough but starts to go south quickly when the author threatens to kill her, "We can't wait to see you grow - then you're mowed down by a stray arrow."

"Blank Page" lets Game of Thrones fanatics laugh about George R.R. Martin's obsession for killing off characters instead of cry. Martin hangs a photo of Ned Stark (Sean Bean) in his castle and goes on a picnic with Daenerys.

"You could die in a swordfight or burn in dragon flames," He sings to her, "Just when they think it's alright, I cross off another name/ So much death in the seven kingdoms, you could say I'm insane/'Cause you know I love kingslayers and you love Game of Thrones."

Luckily, Daenerys escapes George R.R. Martin's sword-wielding clutches by the end of the video. Unfortunately for Martin, Daenerys boyfriend, Daario, comes into the castle at the end for revenge.

Book fans already prepared for the deaths coming in season 5 might be caught off guard too. Martin told Showbiz411 that "people are going to die who don't die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy. Everybody better be on their toes. [Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss] are even bloodier than I am."

The show Game of Thrones season 5 premieres next month on April 12th. For book readers, HarperCollins told Forbes.com that Martin's much-anticipated sequel in the series, Winds of Winter, won't be coming out in 2015.
