Vanessa Carlton and John McCauley of Deer Tick got married on Friday. The ceremony was officiated by none other than Stevie Nicks, according to Rolling Stone. Carlton shared a picture of the ceremony in a post that read, "Thanks Stevie for marrying us!" McCauley also posted a photo that read, "Married! Thank you to the Honorable Reverend Stevie Nicks for doin' us the deed!!!"
According to the article, the newlyweds met through My Morning Jacket's Patrick Hallahan, who is a mutual friend of the couple and played drums on Carlton's 2011 album Rabbits on the Run.
Deer Tick dropped their fifth studio album Negativity back in September, which features the couple teaming up for the track "In Our Time." McCauley spoke with Rolling Stone last April about working with his now wife. "We started trying to write something together," he told them. "And it just really wasn't working. But I had this song, and I thought it would work well as a duet. We kind of became really close friends pretty quick. She's a wonderful singer."
