The Silversun Pickups may have only released three LP's thus far, but that's no reason for them not to release a retrospective. The album, The Singles Collection, is reportedly celebrating 10 years on the Dangerbird label. The compilation will feature 10 tracks already familiar to fans, such as "Lazy Eye" and "Panic Switch," but as a motive for you to spring for the album, it will also include brand new track "Cannibal" (Have a listen at the bottom of the page...it's fun).

This news could be alarming for some Silversun fans, as "greatest hits" collections typically indicate that the band is taking it easy and making an easy buck, versus making new music. Indeed, the band isn't working on anything at the moment, but vocalist Brian Aubert assured Rolling Stone that he was looking to hit the studio soon.

"Plans come and go," he said. "We don't like to think about laying down rules and lists. It's best for us to lay low and eventually build momentum organically. We'll start working on the next album when we all come to the conclusion that it's time. We never know when that'll be, but personally, I hope it's sooner than later. I have a lot of weird ideas that need to come out."

Sounds promising. For now, here's what to expect from The Singles Collection:

1. "Kissing Families"

2. "Lazy Eye"

3. "Well Thought Out Twinkles"

4. "Little Lover's So Polite"

5. "Panic Switch"

6. "Substitution"

7. "The Royal We"

8. "Bloody Mary (Nerve Endings)"

9. "The Pit"

10. "Dots And Dashes (Enough Already)"

11. "Cannibal"
