British Columbia electronic music festival Shambhala has announced the first group of acts who will be heading up to Kootenay and it is a heavy one. Of the over 300 acts who are slated to join the four-day fest, Skrillex, Pretty Lights, Kygo and Claude VonStroke will look to headline.
The first group of artists will also include DJs like MK, festival favorite Excision, Big Gigantic, Dusky, GTA and GRiZ, who help round out a diverse bill that brings together all electronic music genres under one bill.
The festival is looking to make a positive impact on the local community, so that means a sustainable effort for more green living on the grounds and also a large continent of local acts who will perform.
The camping festival enters heads into its 18th year in 2015, making its return to the serene Salmo River Ranch. The festival will take place from Aug. 7–10.
