Robert Plant and Jack White are one step closer to working on music together. The pair linked up over the weekend at Lollapalooza Argentina, ripping through Led Zeppelin's "The Lemon Song." White has been known to play the tune live in recent years. Plant, on the other hand, has not performed it live since 1995, according to Rolling Stone.

There is no lengthy introduction in the clip below. White and his band charge right into the song and the guitarist quickly offers his microphone to the iconic frontman. Plant looks beyond comfortable with White and his spectacular group. The two could make some sweet tunes together, that's for sure. Perhaps another collaboration is possible this March at Lollapalooza Brazil, where the musicians are scheduled to perform again.

Back in September, Plant made it clear that he would like to work on some music with White in the future.

"I love Jack White's buccaneer spirit, and the way he dodges through the musical horizons," Plant said. "I'd be happy to make a single with him."

Plant added that he would love to record a new rendition of "Love Me" by The Phantom.

White and Plant are both riding high following the releases of their new albums. The guitarist dropped his second solo LP, Lazaretto, in June. The effort went straight to number one on the Billboard 200. Plant's 10th studio record, Lullaby...and the Ceaseless Roar, came out in September.

Plant recently announced some new summer tour dates with JD McPherson and the Pixies. He also has festival appearances planned for Sasquatch!, Mountain Jam and Bonnaroo. White's live dates are winding down. He'll play Coachella in April.
