Originally slated for a late March release, The-Dream has announced the new drop date for his forthcoming EP Crown. He made the announcement on Instagram.

As reported by BET, Crown will be released on April 14. The EP will be followed by a second project titled Jewel, making one full album. HotNewHipHop says Jewel will drop on June 9.

Crown, which features the T.I.-assisted single "That's My S--t," will come out under Dream's Contra Paris label. Both projects showcase the reunion of Dream and one-time frequent collaborator Christopher "Tricky" Stewart. In the past, the two have worked on hits including The-Dream's "I Luv Your Girl" and "Falsetto."

Back in December, he also released a single "Fruition." The song has since disappeared from SoundCloud.

According to Vibe, the two albums will present different styles.

"Crown is more modern R&B, and Jewel will be more what you might think of as my songwriter side, the songs I might have given to other artists before," he said. "If you put me in a box, Jewel is more what you get when that box is open. But I'm not limited by any box I've been put in - every year I'm expanding and growing, and it makes for a more interesting plot."

Last summer, The-Dream released his Royalty: The Prequel EP. The 7-track EP features a track entitled "Cold," on which Dream challenges himself and calls out his R&B opponents, including The Weeknd.
