Beyoncé's sizzling, sexy hit "Drunk In Love" has gotten just a little too spooky. Last night (Jan. 16), Grammy-nominated Best New Artist James Blake had his weekly show on BBC Radio 1 and debuted a fresh new remix of the Beyoncé track, which is now nearly unrecognizable.
Blake, who released the song under his penname Harmonimix, took inspiration from the intro to "Drunk In Love," which features a winding, Middle Eastern inspired chant. Blake stretched the chant and looped it over the course of nearly three minutes and remixed Beyoncé's vocals from their smoky, sultry original to a nearly unrecognizable bark.
Unfortunately for Jay Z, his verse was left out of the remix.

The Harmonimix take on the Beyoncé track wasn't the only new cut Blake debuted last night. He also dropped a new song "40455," an airy, light track full of small electronic winds and ethereal synths.
And this isn't the only new music fans will be hearing from James Blake in the coming months. Earlier this week, he announced that he would be moving in with musician Chance the Rapper for the sole purpose of making tons of music, so expect some crazy collaborations in 2014.
