Have mercy!-- the fast-traveling rumor that Full House would potentially reboot, was confirmed by Uncle Jesse himself when John Stamos stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night. The 1987 sit-com will now center on first-born daughter, D.J. as she raises her own clan in Fuller House.

The hit TV series spanned eight seasons on ABC between 1987 and 1994, fast-forwarding 21 years into the future for Fuller House. Stamos clarified that the foundation of the show will shift concentration to a pregnant and widowed D.J. Tanner, raising two sons, an unruly 12-year old named J.D. and an anxious seven year old, Max.

Following familiar territories seen in the original storyline, D.J. enlists the help of her younger sister Stephanie, (Jodie Sweetin), and her peculiar best friend Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber.) In the latest episodes, Stephanie aspires to become a musician while we find out that Kimmy has a teenager of her own, Ramona-the quirky trio will reunite under one roof to lend helping hands the same way Uncle Jesse and Uncle Joey backed Danny Tanner.

The show title hints at D.J.'s last name, Fuller, which leads us to believe that former boyfriend Steve Hale, is alive and well somewhere-maybe even portraying Aladdin once more in Disney.

"It's a labor of love," Stamos said on Kimmel, reports Rolling Stone. "We've been literally trying for so many years to do it right, and I think we've finally got it perfect."

Netflix will premiere 13 fresh episodes of the family-friendly show in 2016, as Variety notes. Stamos divulged further information that his character as well as Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) would revisit to the show while Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were considering reprising their shared role as the baby of the family, Michelle Tanner. "If we can't get the Olsen twins," Stamos expressed to Kimmel, "we're gonna dress you up."

As far as the other essential cast members, Dave Coulier and Lori Loughlin ( Uncle Joey and Rebecca Katsopolis) are deliberating possible guest appearances. If anything, it's probable that a bulk of the cast will reunite for an hour-long reunion special.
