For over a decade now, ISSUE Project Room has played a pivotal role in showcasing raw, left-of-center talent--both old and new.

No surprise, then, it's also one of Classicalite's favorite venues in all of Gotham. Be it Charlemagne Palestine, Tony Conrad, Yasunao Tone, Eli Keszler, Sō Percussion, Nate Wooley, Ben Vida or even John Cage, we've loved 'em all.

And now, our beloved alcove will host lo-fi all-stars R. Stevie Moore and Gary Wilson this Friday night.

Of course, Mr. Moore is all too aware of his divey status, having remained secluded in his New Jersey home for years (only then to move down to Nashville, for to open his own museum).

Child of Elvis Presley bassist (and contributor to the Doors' L.A. Woman) Bob Moore, Stevie is a self-taught instrumentalist with a penchant for being loud, yet his unplugged performance should still get the ears turning.
