After performing at Winter Jam's Jam Zone in Atlanta last weekend, Drake Kennedy is excited to see his first single go to national radio. The Atlanta native got his start playing music during First Baptist Church Woodstock's contemporary service at the age of 15. Now, at only 21, he has already traveled around the world, sharing his gift and his Savior with fans through his music. The young singer has taught music at a camp in Rome, Italy, planted churches in El Salvador and led worship at international conferences in Germany. He is currently part of the music team at Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, Georgia.

"Right by Me," which was serviced to national radio just yesterday, reached the top 5 finals in the Victory 91.5 song contest. That win got the indie artist airplay in the Atlanta market, where he rose to #1 artist, #1 song, and #1 album (Hope - the EP) for November and December 2013. The popularity of the song and the singer behind it opened another door and he was named a featured artist at WUEV 91.5 Evansville in Indiana.

In a press release, Drake talked about his excitement as he takes this next step, saying, "I love my God and I love reaching people through my music. I want to be authentic in both my message and my art as a musician. I'm honored and humbled each time someone is touched by my music and I am able to be a vessel for the Kingdom of Christ!"

Though right now, his concert calendar doesn't have many shows on it, as the song gains traction around the country, there is no doubt that his dance card will soon become full.
