Producer Mike WiLL Made It recently took to Twitter to share some exciting news with fans of Rae Sremmurd in tweets instead of a press release. He revealed that the duo has been working on their new album, SremmLife 2.

"Every song on Sremmlife is a HIT. Still sounding fresh af. Great start. SremmLife 2 in the works," he tweeted.

During an interview with Bay Area radio station KMEL at the BET Awards, the "Come Get Her" rappers announced that a new project would drop close to the year's end, along with other new music.

"New album coming in like December," Swae Lee said. "We got a few collabs dropping. We just dropped that 'Blase' with Ty Dolla $ign and Future on it. We bout to drop 'Burn Slow' with Wiz Khalifa...These aren't even on the album, these are just random songs we're about to drop."

Rae Sremmurd released their debut album at the beginning of the year back in January. The album features hit singles including "No Type," "This Could Be Us" and "Throw Sum Mo" featuring Nicki Minaj and Young Thug. SremmLife debuted at No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, selling 34,000 in the week ending Jan. 11, according to Nielsen Music.

No word on when fans can actually expect the album but pushing out two projects in one year may not be too far-fetched. In 2014, Rick Ross released two albums: Mastermind and Hood Billionaire.

Aside from working on new music, the duo has been on the road with Nicki Minaj this summer for the North American leg of her The Pinkprint tour. The trek is coming up on the tail end with remaining shows in Denver as well as Chula Vista and Concord, California. Minaj's tour will close in Canada, stopping in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.
