Fetty Wap is giving back to his hometown of Patterson, New Jersey. The "My Way" rapper, who is fiercely proud of where he came from, will be performing at a free concert for nearly 1,200 high school students in his home city.

The show will take place on Aug. 27 at Bauerle Field according to the mayor. The field is at Eastside High School, where Fetty Wap, real name Willie Maxwell II, attended high school until he dropped out in the 10th grade.

Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis on Aug. 24 at nearby Pennington Park. Students can pick up tickets with their student ID. Eastside and Kennedy high schools, two of the largest public schools in the city will each have allotment of 300 tickets, while six other schools, Panther Academy, HARP Academy, International High School, Passaic County Tech, Alternative High School - Yes Academy and Garrett Morgan Academy will all receive 100 each.

Fetty Wap will perform with his RGF Production crew, so expect there to be plenty of the Remy Boyz and 1738 shouts. The concert will take place from 3-7 p.m.

The show is being framed by Mayor Jose "Joey" Torress as a homecoming for the sudden star. "The world is paying tribute to him, so why can't we?" Torres said to NorthJersey.com.

"This is all about wishes coming true," the mayor added. "This is an urban rags-to-riches story. It doesn't get better than this."

Maxwell just announced that he will be releasing his debut album on Sept. 25 via 300 Entertainment. The rapper still has "Trap Queen" and "My Way" high up the charts with a collaboration with Drake in the offing, but is still looking to give back to his people in Patterson.
