When movie-goers hit theaters on Wednesday, April 16th for the nationwide premiere of the new Sony Pictures film "Heaven Is for Real," they'll be treated to a new song from Rascal Flatts called "Compass," which is featured in the film.

The movie, which is based on the No. 1 New York Times best-selling book by the same name, tells the true story of a small-town dad who must find the courage and conviction to share his son’s extraordinary, life-changing experience with the world. Starring Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award-winning actor Greg Kinnear as Todd Burpo and Kelly Reilly as Sonja Burpo, the couple whose son Colton (played by newcomer Connor Corum) claims to have visited Heaven during a near death experience, this may well be "the feel good" movie of the year. As Colton shares the details of his amazing journey with the innocence of a child and knows about things he couldn’t possibly know (as they happened before he was born), movie-goers are challenged to examine their own beliefs about what happens after death just as Todd and his family are challenged to examine the meaning of the remarkable journey.

"Compass" will also be included on the upcoming Big Machine Records album, Rewind, which is due to hit stores on May 13th. With an impressive 14 #1 singles under their belts, "Compass" could easily become number 15.
