Grammy-award winning British singer Jess Glynne has released her debut album I Cry When I Laugh. She first came to prominence as the singer on singles for and Route 94 "My Love" and Clean Bandit "Rather Be," which netted her that Grammy win. Now she is going out on own as a solo artist to put out her debut album.

The album features some of her biggest hits, including "Rather Be" with Clean Bandit and an acoustic version of "My Love." It also has own solo singles like "Hold My Hand," which went no. 1 in the UK.

Glynne's debut effort is solid, one that will make her more visible outside of the UK and give her more opportunities outside of the electronic music space where she has dominated as a vocalist. I Cry When I Laugh has vintage piano house beats that are upbeat and danceable, but can at times blend together. Lyrically, the album touches on the hope and despair Glynne has experienced in her life. Stream the album on Spotify and purchase it on Amazon or iTunes.

Glynne has toured as a part of the Clean Bandit live show and done shows in the UK, but now in support of the album, she will be coming to North America for a string of headlining performances across the continent starting on Monday Sept. 14 at U Street Music Hall in Washington D.C.
