On Wednesday news broke that Axwell /\ Ingrosso had split from their longtime manager Amy Thomson and her firm ATM Artists. It was rumored that the duo were on their way to Avicii's manager Ash Pournouri's At Night Management that houses Cazzette, iSHi and Otto Knows. Both parties in the split gave very short statements in the story, but today Thomson came out with a long explanation to try and quiet any rumors about her relationship with the "Sun Is Shining" duo.

After the Billboard story on Sept. 16 Ingrosso sent very gracious and grateful Tweet of his former manager. "We didn't leave Amy, we very mutually decided it was time to part ways. We are super grateful for the time together."

Thomson confirms that sentiment in a long statement where she tried to distance herself from the article, saying she did not feel comfortable discussing her clients and thus has avoided public appearances and discussions in the past.

"In the summer of this year, it was clear to all of us this chapter was done," she explains candidly. "People need to understand, there is no contract or job title that covers the friendship we have, and it would be wrong for any of us to cling to a structure where we don't feel challenged, creative, at our best...."

She continues. "We are possibly the closest friends anyone could ever have. They're like family to me. We have simply evolved. We have grown and we have respected each other's needs and journey's."

"We all needed a change, and we all gave each other that courtesy," she says. "Swedish House Mafia and Axwell /\ Ingrosso was an amazing time and I don't regret one single moment of it, but it's not my future."

She has known Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello for 12 years and is friends with each of them. She has guided them through their time with Swedish House Mafia and through the breakup and the formation of Axwell /\ Ingrosso.
