Dawes may have just released the new single and music video for "All Your Favorite Bands," in which the California rockers hope for their beloved that "all your favorite bands stay together," but that doesn't mean all will stay the same for them. On Wednesday (Sept. 30), Dawes announced that keyboard player Ty Strathairn have parted ways.

Dawes made the announcement that they've split with Strathairn on Facebook and their official website. Citing "musical differences," the remaining members of the band (Taylor Goldsmith, Griffin Goldsmith and Wylie Gelber) said they wished their fellow founding member well as they part ways.

"After many great years, due to musical differences, Dawes and Tay Strathairn have come to the difficult decision to part ways. We as a band are deeply grateful for the contributions that Tay has made over the years and we wish him the best," they wrote.

Strathairn, an original member of Dawes, briefly left the band to perform with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes. He was then replaced by Alex Casnoff. Dawes has yet to announce how it will fill the void of Strathairn on tour or on album.

Dawes released its fourth studio album All Your Favorite Bands in May. The band is currently on tour and will play tonight in Columbia, South Carolina.
