Demi Lovato has gathered some serious talent to work on her new music video for "Confident," which is set to drop in full later this week (Oct. 9) in anticipation of her album with the same name. She began filming the music video in late September, which was directed by the famous Robert Rodriguez and will co-star Michelle Rodriguez. She also posted a clip of the video to her Twitter account in order to tease her audience.

According to MTV, the music video will be more of a mini-film than anything else and will feature a lot of high-powered action to suit Lovato's vision. Demi just appeared as a guest star on the director's From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, which also features her longtime boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama.

Billboard reported the director's statement, "I was so impressed by Demi's fearless performance as a guest star on my TV series From Dusk Till Dawn that I jumped at the chance to direct her video. I basically treated this like we were shooting a high-octane action film, because she has the presence and star power to pull it off. She's incredible."

A week ago, Lovato posted a photo of herself with the two Rodriguez's and wrote for the caption, "So honored to be working with these two badasses: the legendary director @RODRIGUEZ and the legendary actress @MRODOFFICIAL."

The pop star and crew are currently working on the project in Austin, Texas so we can expect that it might have a bit of a Western flavor, and definitely a lot of action. Based on all the projects that the public has already seen from director Robert Rodriguez, one can imagine that it will be dark and have at least a small amount of violence, as he is known for his edgy film tactics.
