In the current season of Parks and Recreation, Amy Poehler's character (Leslie Knope) is working on a unity concert in an attempt to mend relations with the newly merged towns of Pawnee and Eagleton. According to The AV Club (via Consequence of Sound), the show's season finale (airing April 24) will feature several notable musicians performing the concert as members of fictional bands. Wilco's Jeff Tweedy has been cast as well as The Decemberists and Yo La Tengo.

Producer Michael Schur told The AV Club, "One of our writers, Donick Carey, is very good friends with the band Yo La Tengo, who are one of my favorite bands, and he emailed them and said, 'Hey, do you guys want to play Bobby Knight Ranger?' And they were, like, 'Sure!' So Yo La Tengo makes an appearance as Bobby Knight Ranger, playing 'Sister Christian.'"

R&B singer Ginuwine, who has been a running reference on the show, will also appear on the episode. Mark Rivers, who has written all the original songs on the show and plays in Andy's band Mouse Rat, is set to appear with his real life band Letters to Cleo.
