Eminem's last foray into footwear was one of the largest successes in Air Jordan history. According to Ebay, a current pair of 2005 Nike Air Jordan IV 4 Retro Eminem Slim Shady Encore Edition goes for twenty six thousand dollars! Needless to say, Eminem's partnership with Cahrhartt and Jordan Brand for the newest addition of the Air Jordan IV is enormously anticipated. According to MLive, Eminem announced that he would be auctioning off only 10 of the prized sneakers on November 10th. The auction will take place on Ebay, and all proceeds will go towards the Marshall Mathers Foundation, Eminem's charity.

This news comes just in time for the ten-year anniversary of Slim Shady records. A picture of the sneaker can be seen of Shady's website, Eminem.com.

The picture depicts a sleek black and grey design with diagonal checkered patterning and leather above its rubber soles. The sneaker is a version of the famed Air Jordan IV silhouette- which premiered in 1989 and has been consistently sought after since. The canvas material on the sneakers tongue comes from Carhartt. The New Eminem Air Jordan Iv's will feature the "ShadyVX" logo, along with Eminem's iconic hockey mask and backward "E" logo.

Eminem hopes to match the success of his previous collaboration with Jordan Brand, and clearly anticipates that sales will be high for his future venture in the footwear industry. His previous effort, The Air Jordan IV Encore featured bright blue tones and was meant to emulate the cover of Eminem's then-recent album Encore (2004). The sneaker was, at one time, on sale at the sneaker store Fight Club for $37,500. In 2008, Eminem released "The Way I Am" Air Jordan 2's in red and black. The sneaker features the lyrics from the artist's hit song "The Way I Am" written on all over its surface. This sneaker goes for as much as five thousand dollars on auctioning sites.
