Ex-Swedish House Mafia member Axwell's label Axtone is celebrating its 10th year anniversary this year and to celebrate is releasing a special compilation album with some of the best tracks that have come out on the imprint. The label is putting together a special box set that has both three vinyls and an expanded digital catalog with several exclusives, including a brand new original from the label don himself titled "Waiting For So Long (Gloria)" dedicated to his wife. It also includes tracks from the likes of Thomas Gold, Arty, Tom Staar, Adrian Lux and many more.
The compilation has several exclusives on it beyond the aforementioned Axwell exclusive. There is a brand new original from "new" label star Shapov titled "Our World" as well as two remixes. One is the Klahr remix of Adrian Lux's "Torn Apart" and the second is Fono's rework of Axwell's classic "I Found U."
It is great to see an Axwell solo track because he has focused all of his efforts since the breakup of Swedish House Mafia on his Axwell /\ Ingrosso project, including taking some old Axwell songs and repurposing them for their album.
The compilation may not dig as deep into some of the Axtone classics as some may like, but it does touch in a broad sense upon some of the best tracks that have been released by one of the best independent dance music labels over the past 10 years.
