Adele's new album 25 slaughtered records last week, when it sold 3.38 million copies during its first week on sale. Now, it seems like the "Hello" singer is aiming to break another record by having the first album to sell more than one million copies for two straight weeks.

According to Billboard, Adele is heading toward a second week of million-plus sales in the second week of 25. As of Tuesday, Dec. 1, the album had sold over 840,000 copies in the United States, and industry forecasters seemed to indicate that in the remaining on-sale time for this week's tracking, Adele could very well hit a million units of 25 sold.

This would be the first time in history (since Nielsen started tracking album sales in 1991) that an album has sold more than one million copies in two different weeks.

If Adele sells more than a million copies of 25 this week, it wouldn't be the first time the musical juggernaut broke a record this year. During its first week on sale, 25 sold 3.38 million copies, becoming the fastest-selling record in American history. She beat the 2001 record set by NSYNC's No Strings Attached by nearly a million copies (it sold 2.4 million during its first on-sale week 14 years ago).

The one million projection will also easily give 25 its second week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. And that's not Adele's only No. 1 this year, the lead single from 25, "Hello," also debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100. It has held that position now for five weeks.
