Star striker Diego Costa is set to miss today's game against United after receiving his fifth yellow card this season over the weekend. Speaking ahead of today's match, interim coach Guus Hiddink detailed Costa's training despite not playing, and shared updates on Eden Hazard, who recently returned from injury.

"We sent him away for a holiday for a few days because of his injury but he came back and trained with us," the new coach said of Hazard, according to ChelseaFC.com. "He's not at top fitness yet but he's fresh in his mind and that's important. He needs training and games but I don't see any problem. I want to use my eyes and experience to see how they manage on the training pitch, you can see that easily. Everyone has his chance."

Suffering a loss to Stoke City over the weekend, manager Louis Van Gaal explained the struggles of having only one day of rest in this tough succession of games.

"You can say we can quickly get over this defeat by playing against Chelsea but in the time in between, you have to recover because the players have given everything," he said, according to PremierLeague.com. "Then you have to manage that you are very confident to start the Chelsea game, and that you dare to play football - our football! It is very difficult to do that in just two days but we shall try."
