Gucci Mane has been in prison since 2013, though that has not stopped his music from being released at a remarkable rate. This music is all leftover recordings from an era where Guwop was a free man and according to his label 1017 Records, the day where Gucci gets out is coming sooner than many may have expected. In a new Instagram post, the label revealed that Guwop will be getting out in March 2016.

The new social media post comes as Guwop has blacked out his own accounts fresh in the New Year. According to Sean Paine, Gucci's right-hand man, who spoke to Pigeons and Planes, it was done because he "wants to wait until he gets out to build anticipation and resurface everything under the new Gucci brand."

There has been rampant speculation about when Guwop may finally be free for a long time. Most of it is just wishful thinking, or a smart way to get a headline, but until now everything has been a false alarm. Last year his label originally started that Gucci would be released in March 2017, however it appears as though they are now moving up the timeline one year.

Let's hope this isn't a typo so Gucci can get out and start recording some new music, which he must be itching to get started on.

Gucci Mane has slowed up his release rate of late, only dropping about one project a month as opposed to what felt like one mixtape per week at the beginning of the year. His last mixtape was East Atlanta Santa 2: The Night Guwop Stole X-Mas. This slowdown could be a sign that he is gearing up for another big wave of releases once he is potentially free.
