Who is the coolest great-grandfather around? We found him!

At 70-years-old, the Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger has achieved a new status... great-grandfather.

Over the weekend, it was reported by the Daily Mail that the rock star's granddaughter Assisi Jackson, 21, gave birth to a daughter. It is the first for her and boyfriend Alex Key. Details on the name have not been released.

Jagger originated his journey into rock stardom back in 1962 when he began performing with the Stones. Since then, he has made headlines for not only his legendary music (and lips), but also for his personal life, fathering seven children with four different women. His daughter Jade Jagger (whose mother is ex-wife Bianca Jagger) is the baby's 42-year old grandmother.

Assisi told Hello! Magazine, "I imagine it's nice to be a great-granddad – although I'm not sure he likes the idea of getting old, or being called one. I call him Mick – I wouldn't start calling him grandpa."

Perhaps the news of a great-granddaughter is just what the Rolling Stone needed, considering the difficult, and truly soul-shattering, situation he found himself going through back in March when the singer's girlfriend, 49-year-old fashion designer L'Wren Scott, committed suicide. The two were together since 2001.

After word of Scott's suicide spread, Jagger took to Facebook, writing, "I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves."

News of Scott's unfortunate suicide caused the Stones to postpone its Australian and New Zealand concerts. The band plans to resume the 14 On Fire tour on May 26 in Oslo.
