Winter storm Jonas finally interrupted a freakishly warm winter in the Northeast over the weekend, dumping more than 2 feet of snow on New York City, where Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were scheduled to play at Madison Square Garden.

The Jan. 24 stop of The River Tour was postponed due to weather and tristate travel bans.

"There is not an immediate date available for reschedule, but more information will be coming shortly," a message on Springsteen's official website reads.

The gig was to be the opening of a two-night stand at MSG. Springsteen is playing his entire 1980 album The River on this tour, adding 90 minutes to the show, UltimateClassicRock notes. The North American tour kicked off in Pittsburgh last week but issues with the weather have left fans curious if their tour dates will be affected.

However, Jonas could not chase Steven Tyler away. He wasn't forced to cancel any gigs, but the Aerosmith frontman and his daughter Mia were seen walking  by CNN's Poppy Harlow. His advice for people heading outside? "Stay home," Tyler said. "Two words: hot chocolate."

Springsteen and his wife, Patti Sciafla, are visiting Florida to attend the United States Equestrian Team fundraiser. Their daughter Jessica competes in horse jumping and has competed internationally for the Unites States on Nations Cup teams, Billboard notes.
