Mysterious producer Karma Fields has released his new album New Age Dark Age via Vancouver based electronic music label Monstercat. Despite being a newcomer to the game, Karma Fields was able to tab some solid names on the LP like Talib Kweli on an interesting electronic, hip-hop crossover track, Kerli and actor and singer Juliette Lewis.

The Juliette Lewis collaboration with Danish producer MORTEN is the most high profile of the bunch, though falls flat with some unnecessary yelling from Lewis that detract from the harsh electro growls put together by the two producers.

The album starts out heavy and really settle in melodically towards the end with tracks like "Faint Echoes," "Build The Cities" and "A Bright But Distant Future." The Talib Kweli collab seems like an odd marriage at first but has an odd way of working though the key doesn't exactly fit in the hole.

The 12-track LP has a slight wrinkle in it. His biggest single "Build The Cities" is included twice on the album. The last version is an updated master, so that is should be the one added to your playlist. An extended version is on its way soon, so you can stash three versions of the song in your library shortly.
