Flume left his homeland of Australia for a quick pit stop in London to chat with Annie Mac at BBC Radio 1 yesterday. He was joined by Kai and Kucka as they went into the BBC Radio 1 studios to do three different songs "Never Be Like You" from Skin, an unreleased and untitled song from his upcoming sophomore album and a cover of Alessia Cara's "Here."

After a brief chat with Mac, he launched into his first song and the most familiar for the listeners - his recent single and No. 1 single in Australia "Never Be Like You" with Kai live in the studio. Her voice, just like at the Laneway Festival in Melbourne, sounds just as good live as it does on the studio version.

Flume talks about how he plays the track live, taking care of the chords on the synth and then triggering the samples and other notes on a Launchpad.

He then launches into the premiere of the unreleased and untitled track from Skin.

The new song has the synth heavy sound one expects from Flume, but much slower and more subdued with a pitched up male and female vocal. The r&b-influenced track is one of the more downtempo cuts we have heard from Flume thus far in thus cycle of songs. They then take some suggestions from the BBC listeners and most were shot down immediately.

Things stay downtempo with a cover of Alessia Cara "Here.' Both Kucka and Kai join to sing the vocal, while Flume reimagines the instrumental with a booming and synth-influenced instrumental that has some strong Flume influences. He doesn't kill the vibe, but still adds his own flavor to the track, while the singers keep the rhythm as they harmonize to "Here."
