The start of the new month marks an exciting announcement from hip-hop icon Jay Z. According to some reports, Sean Carter is set to release a new album, and he announced the title this week. Aptly titled IT'S YA BOY, this record could be the most anticipated releases of 2016. Plus, an alleged leaked tracklist including featured artists like Beyoncé, Kanye West and Drake has us even more excited. Check out these details below!

We aren't too surprised that Jay has some familiar faces featured on his upcoming album, but it's a little confusing that the announcement is coming so close to rumors of his wife's new album reveal. It might just be a way to capitalize on publicity, but it really just means more great music in 2016!

Jay is currently going through some issues with TIDAL, so we'll see if this new record is available on his streaming service in the near future.

You can check out the alleged leaked tracklist for this new album right here:

1. HOV Lane (Feat. Beyoncé & Coldplay)
2. TIDAL Track
3. Ya Boy (It Me)
4. Should We Move to Williamsburg, Bey? (skit)
5. Uh Huh, Yeah
6. Microeconomics 101 (Feat. Kanye West)
7. Wait, Ben Franklin Wasn't President? (skit)
8. Black Tie Bat Mitzvah (Feat. Drake)
9. Should I Grow a Beard?
10. #1 O.C. Fan (Feat. Chris Brown)
11. Barclays Center Box Seats (Feat. Swaggy P)
12. New Phone, Who Dis? (Feat. Kanye West)

If you've made it this far in this bizarre article, I commend you. This was a lot of fun to write, but as you've probably guessed, this is an April Fools' Day prank, and therefore 100% fake.

I'm genuinely sorry if you were fooled by this news, but I guess that's why I'm totally a professional ... at faking news? Woops.

Happy April Fools' Day!

Anyway, check out a recent interview with Jay Z on Jimmy Kimmel Live! from last year where he gets a blast from the past video reminder, which will make you laugh some more:

See More April Fools Day
