Former Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has announced that his next album, titled Lullaby and...The Ceasless Roar, will be released on September 8. The album will be Plant's first to be released through Nonesuch Records, as well as his first studio album with his new band, the Sensational Space Shifters, which he formed back in 2012.

Lullaby and...The Ceaseless Roar will feature 11 songs, including nine originals written by Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters. The album is Plant's first since 2010's Band of Joy.

Here's what Plant told NME:

"It's really a celebratory record, powerful, gritty, African, Trance meets Zep," Plant says. "The whole impetus of my life as a singer has to be driven by a good brotherhood. I am very lucky to work with the Sensational Space Shifters. They come from exciting areas of contemporary music...I have been around awhile and I ask myself, do I have anything to say? Is there a song still inside me? In my heart? I see life and what's happening to me. Along the trail there are expectations, disappointments, happiness, questions and strong relationships...and now I'm able to express my feelings through melody, power and trance; together in a kaleidoscope of sound, colour, and friendship."

In support of the album, Plant has also announced a series of tour dates across the United Kingdom and Ireland in November. According to Plant's website, the dates are:
