Guns N’ Roses have announced the first round of supporting acts for their Not In This Lifetime Tour. The band will reportedly play with Alice In Chains on their opening night in Detroit, Michigan and will run through their date in Chicago on July 3.

Lenny Kravitz is then slated to join the band in Boston on July 19 and perform through their date in New Jersey on July 24.

According to the summer tour will run through North America from June 23 to Aug. 22. There is potential for international dates, but those haven’t been announced as of yet. In addition to his tour with Guns N’ Roses, Axl Rose will also replace Brian Johnson as the vocal lead for AC/DC while he recovers from hearing troubles.

AC/DC has live dates in Europe that run through May and June, before the Guns N’ Roses tour kicks off for the summer.

“I don’t normally do gigs like this,” Kravitz recently told Rolling Stone. “But sometimes you’ve got to do things for the fun of it, for the experience. I’m looking forward to playing with them and celebrating them coming back together.”

Kravitz further said, “We’re definitely going to jam and improvise and get loose and treat it like a festival. Summertime always makes me think of festivals like the Isle of Wright, when Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix played. I love the summer, outdoor concert vibe, so we’ll rock out and improvise and go deep and get psychedelic and out there.”

Guns N’ Roses surprised fans by adding dates to the summer tour, adding Los Angeles, Boston, New York and Chicago. In Chicago they will play Soldier Field, the Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, as well as the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
