One occupational hazard of being a broadcast reporter is the occasional video-bomber. New York's Pix 11 reporter Mario Diaz experienced this first hand Friday; however, his video-bomber was not just some random person. It was Erykah Badu.
Diaz was reporting on Shia LaBeouf's recent arrest for disorderly conduct when Badu, sporting a giant white hat and smirk, entered the frame.
She opened her coat to show off the outfit underneath and then made an obscene gesture with her hands before coming up to Diaz and attempting to kiss him. Diaz pushed her away and continued with his broadcast.
Fans started identifying Badu as the woman in the broadcast, and Badu initially denied her appearance, However, she later tweeted an apology to Diaz, who responded light-heartedly with Prince lyrics ("Ain't no particular sign I'm more compatible with I just want your extra time and your ..... kiss") and the promise that "Next time I won't do the NYC push back."
As Rolling Stone notes, Badu was busy in New York last week, performing with Dave Chappelle at Radio City Music Hall and rocking a block party in Brooklyn on Saturday.
