Live Nation, one of the global event giants, has decided to take an interesting new step to how people enter events that will both create shorter lines and generate a new source of revenue for the company. They have announced the company will implement a TSA-style precheck enrollment system for select music festivals and venues in the United States.

Live Nation has partnered with private firm IdentoGO, the company that handles the screening process for the TSA. Attendees can sign up for a pre-check system will give those who are approved their own "Fast Pass" for expedited entry at select events. Those who have been approved for TSA precheck will be eligible to skip lines.

Traditionally signing up for TSA precheck can take weeks or even months, but doing so at a music event can take just minutes. To do so, attendees need to bring a government-issued photo ID and proof of U.S. citizenship, which could be something like a birth certificate or passport. A full list of documents can be found here. Just don't lose these documents if you bring them to a concert.

At concerts, TSA pre-check will allow attendees to go into a fast-pass lane, but they will still be subject to security procedures.

It was first put into effect at the Watershed Country Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheater in Quincy, Washington. The fast pass lane will be implemented at the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival and Meadows Music & Arts Festival.

Certain venues across the country will also participate in the program such as the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, the San Manuel Amphitheatre in San Bernardino, California, the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, Texas, the Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta, Georgia, the Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Florida and the P.N.C. Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.
