G.O.O.D. Music Label mates Common and Big Sean have teamed up for a new track called "Diamonds." The song comes off the Chicago rapper's upcoming Nobody's Smiling album, due out July 22 via Def Jam.

Featuring production form No I.D., Big Sean assists on the catchy hook and final verse over a organ-and-handclapping beat. Common's lyricism, however, steals the show.

"I wrote this on my born day, it was a warm day," Common raps. "Niggas got eat, we gon' do it gourmet. I'm hearing f-kin' voice, like when porn play. Stay, stay on your grind like foreplay. What more can I say? Diamonds are for the day."

The song is available as a free download for those who preorder the LP. Common and Big Sean recently shot a video for it in Los Angeles.

In an interview with Vlad TV, Common explained that he wrote the album as a response to the 421 murders that took place in Chicago in 2013 alone.

"That's why I'm making Nobody's Smiling, that's why it's not just the music, but the movement of the fact that man I'm not happy, I'm from Chicago... I'm not happy we losing people... people getting shot over things that ain't even necessary," he said. "There's people out in the field right now doing grassroots movements that work every day towards stopping violence in Chicago and all around the country but I'm like, 'This is where I'm from.' I've been blessed enough to chase my dream, go after my dream and I want to provide the same for people where I come from."

Nobody's Smiling includes appearances from Jhené Aiko, Lil' Herb, Vince Staples, Cocaine 80s, and more.
