The saga of who will perform at Donald Trump's inauguration has been long, public and humorous for his opponents. Artists have been reportedly approached and the vast majority of them have turned down the opportunity to perform. The committee was able to nab two acts however for the inauguration against all odds - Toby Keith and 3 Doors Down.
Dubbed the "Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration", the concert will take place on the Lincoln Memorial steps on Jan. 19, the day before the inauguration. Jon Voight, one of Hollywood's most high profile and vocal voices in support of Trump, will be also be in attendance.
"President-elect Trump has made it clear that this inaugural is of, by, and for the American people. The 58th Inaugural will celebrate American history and heritage, while setting the course to a brighter and bolder future for all Americans," said chairman Tom Barrack in a press release. "Above all, it will serve as tribute to one of our greatest attributes, the peaceful transition of partisan power."
The main concert will pale in comparison to the lineup that President Barack Obama was able to put together for his inauguration where artists lined up to try and perform. He nabbed names like Stevie Wonder, Beyoncé, U2 and Bruce Springsteen for his ushering in concerts.
This is just one of many events that will feature music around Washington in the lead up to President-elect Trump's inauguration on Jan. 20. Among the performers scheduled for those events includes a Bruce Springsteen cover band named The B Street Band, which is ironic since Springsteen has been a staunch supporter of democratic candidates for years. The All American Ball will feature a cover band named The Reagan Years and a host of DJs like DJ Romin, DJ Flow and of course, DJ Freedom.
