The Weeknd is back with a powerful visual for "Secrets." The video is directed by Pedro Martin Calero. As the video goes on, The Weeknd appears to be wandering through a structure that contains mirrored halls and white rooms. This is another release off his Starboy album. He previously released, "I Feel It Coming" (featuring Daft Punk), "Reminder," "Party Monster," and "Starboy," as well as a 12-minute short film, Mania.

The song talks about The Weeknd being able to read what's going on in a girl's mind. It comes as no surprise as to why in the video he looks like he is wandering through someone's mind. The Weeknd admitted to Billboard that this song was something different than he's used to. He said, "I tried to find different registers that I hadn't sung in before. I sang a lot of low stuff on songs like "Secrets" and "Rockin'," almost like Toni Braxton. On "Secrets," I'm a different person. I've played it for people, and they have no idea it's me."

The tracks samples two songs The Romantics' "Talking In Your Sleep," and Tears For Fears' "Pale Shelter. The "Starboy" singer is also on the cover of Forbes. He's earned over 5.5 billion streams in the past two years which then turned into $75 million. He said, "I really wanted people who had no idea who I was to hear my project. You don't do that by asking for money," The Weeknd says. "We live in a world where artists don't really make the money off the music like we did in the Golden Age. It's not really coming in until you hit the stage. I kind of treat my albums like films when I write them, telling one big story... More visual candy and hopefully a venture into my first true love, cinema."
