Twitter took a break from the usual bashing and bullying to decode a conspiracy: is Millie Bobby Brown a clone of Natalie Portman's 13-year-old version?

Doppelgangers

On Wednesday, Jan. 17, an observant Twitter user noticed that Brown, 13, looks exactly like the teenage version of Portman. To prove her point, the poster uploaded a side by side photo of the 13-year-old Portman and a recent photo of Brown. With the two photos next to each other, it's easier to spot the similarities between the two.

Pretty soon, the rest of Twitter chimed in. One user also compared photos of Portman and Brown from when they shaved their heads for their roles. Portman said goodbye to her locks for the 2005 film V for Vendetta while Brown did the same for Stranger Things.

Portman and Brown don't just look like each other, they are also passionate about their craft. Portman, like Brown, started her acting career at 13.

Portman's first movie role was in the 1994 movie Léon: The Professional alongside Jean Reno and Gary Oldman. Portman went on to join one of the biggest sci-fi productions, Star Wars. In 1997, she played the role of Padmé Amidala, Queen of Naboo -the woman who will become Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Leia Organa's (Carrie Fisher) mother. Portman received an Academy Award for her performance in Black Swan in 2011.

Brown is yet to receive an Oscars trophy but she is on her way to becoming a top star. The young actress is already receiving awards and nominations for her performance as Eleven in Stranger Things.

Hollywood Clones

Portman and Brown are not the only actresses who look like cloned versions of each other. People listed 31 pairs of celebrities who look exactly alike.

Pop superstar Katy Perry and 500 Days of Summer actress Zooey Deschanel's uncanny similarity received much attention. People also noted Perry and Deschanel's resemblance to Lizzy Caplan, Kristen Ritter, and Emily Blunt.

Fans still mistake Isla Fisher (Confession of a Shopaholic) for Amy Adams (Arrival). This made their appearance in Nocturnal Animals quite confusing. Fisher even made a mock PSA to prevent any more confusion.

Minka Kelly of Friday Night Lights and Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl shared notable similarities that might have been the reason why they bagged the leading roles in the 2011 thriller The Roommate.

Multi-awarded singer Ed Sheeran made fun of his resemblance to Rupert Grint. He hired the Harry Potter actor to play the role of an obsessed fan who imitated him for the music video of one of his hits, Lego House.
