Hollywood's worst films and performances of the past year finally gets to shine as the dreaded Razzies nominations are announced.

Trophy season is fully underway, but the 2018 awards season wouldn't be complete without the infamous Golden Raspberry Awards. The awards show, known to celebrate the worst achievements in the industry, released their full picks for the worst films of the year.

Leading the charge for Worst Picture is Transformers: The Last Knight. The Transformers film series has a long history with the mock awards show with every sequel in the series receiving a nomination. With nine nominations in the 2018 Razzies, The Last Knight is also the most-nominated film in the bunch.

Other nominees for the worst movie of the year are Fifty Shades Darker, The Mummy, The Emoji Movie, and Baywatch. These films are among the most-nominated ones of the Razzies with Fifty Shades Darker getting eight noms, while The Mummy snagged seven.

Meanwhile, some of the nominees for the Worst Actor of the year are top-billed A-listers including Tom Cruise for his performance in The Mummy, Johnny Depp for his Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, and Mark Wahlberg for reprising his role in Transformers: The Last Knight. Also singled out for their performances are Zac Efron for the remake Baywatch and Jamie Dornan for Fifty Shades Darker.

A-list women also got their fair share of recognition, particularly Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence for her performance in Mother! and Emma Watson for The Circle. Dakota Johnson for Fifty Shades Darker and Katherine Heigl for Unforgettable, while Tyler Perry mixes things up in the female category with a nomination for Boo 2! A Madea Halloween.

The Worst Supporting Actor category is also stacked with acting legend Anthony Hopkins picking up a nomination for both Collide and The Last Knight. Javier Bardem, another renowned actor, is also nominated for his roles in Mother! and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Other respected thespians Russell Crowe for The Mummy, Mel Gibson for Daddy's Home 2, and Josh Duhamel for Transformers: The Last Knight round off the nominees.

The rest of the categories included in the 2018 Razzies are Worst Supporting Actress, Worst Screen Combo, Worst Remake, Ripoff, or Sequel, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay.

While there are a host of films slammed in this year's Razzies, there are a few that slipped through the mock awards' attention. The Book of Henry, described as "catastrophically awful" despite its star-studded cast, managed to escape the dreaded awards. The Razzies also opted to skip over the low-rated The Snowman.

Winners of the Razzies will be announced on March 3, one day before the Academy Awards ceremony, as tradition.
