Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson bullied Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine during a New Year's Eve celebration. He told the story on Monday, March 19.

Shelton, Clarkson, and Levine appear on The Voice every week to help aspiring singers become superstars. The friendship among the three coaches is apparent onscreen but, unsurprisingly, they are also good friends behind the scenes as proven by Shelton's story that he told in his recent guesting on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Playing A Prank

The country singer told the television host about a time years ago when he, Clarkson, and Levine were hanging out. The "God Gave Me You" singer wanted to play a prank on his fellow The Voice judge, so he called Clarkson, who is living in Texas, to "make fun" of Levine.

After a concert and after they had a few drinks, the three singers hopped on a vehicle and headed to Shelton's ranch in Oklahoma. They had a designated driver, but they were pulled over by the police.

"Not that we don't respect the police, but we knew we hadn't done anything wrong," the 41-year-old recounted as reported by E! Online. "So, you can be a little cocky, or you know, at that point... Adam didn't see it that way because Adam is from Los Angeles, where you don't talk back to the police. And in Oklahoma, if you've got a good point, you do sometimes, you know?"

The band vocalist genuinely thought that they were going to jail after Shelton and Clarkson continued taunting to the officer who pulled them over. He broke down in tears because he was getting so scared.

Blake Shelton on Gwen Stefani's Sons

The 2017 Sexiest Man Alive just completed a 15-date tour across North America. He has a new album out called Texoma Shore, which was released in November last year.

When not judging the newest season of The Voice, Shelton is canoodling with his singer-girlfriend Gwen Stefani or taking care of her kids.

In an interview with People, the "I'll Name The Dogs" singer discussed his relationship with Stefani's sons from her previous marriage.

"At this point in my life, I kind of had put [having kids] as like, 'Well, that wasn't meant to be.' Then all of a sudden it happens one way or another and it's like, 'Wow, [I] missed out on a lot,'" he shared. "And so having them around ... I don't even know how to describe it. It's so much fun."

The Voice airs every Monday and Tuesday on NBC.
