Fans continue to mourn for and pay tribute to XXXTentacion days after he was shot dead in Florida by two unidentified gunmen.

The 20-year-old rapper recently broke the record for single-day streaming on Spotify.

XXXTentacion Overtakes Taylor Swift

According to reports, the track "SAD!" was streamed over 10.4 million times on Tuesday, June 21, a day after news of the young artist's demise popped up. He broke the record originally held by Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do," a song from her new album Reputation.

The Swift track, in comparison, crossed 10.1 million streams a day after its release.

The songs "Jocelyn Flores," "Moonlight," and "changes" also currently sit in the top of Spotify's Top 200.

"SAD!" surpassed Drake's single-day U.S. streaming record as well when he released "God's Plan." The XXXTentacion track crossed 4,437,612 streams in the United States on June 19. In comparison, "God's Plan" only had 4,326,679.

Spotify is yet to announce if XXXTentacion now holds the most single-day streaming record in the history of the streaming service.

"SAD!" was the lead single from XXXTentacion's new album, ?, which dropped on March 16. It peaked at the seventh spot of Billboard's Hot 100 weeks after its release. Meanwhile, it also  topped the Billboard 200 and his third album to enter the albums chart.

Spotify recently denounced XXXTentacion who has been facing cases of battery and abuse from his ex-girlfriend. His music remains on the platform, but the Swedish company made the decision to remove "SAD!" and other tracks from site-curated playlists. The app also restrained from actively promoting his music to its paid subscribers as a part of its solidarity to victims of abuse.

XXXTentacion Murder Suspect Arrested

CNN reported on Thursday, June 21, that Dedrick Williams of Pompano Beach was taken into custody by authorities. He was charged for the murder of XXXTentacion who was shot in broad daylight while leaving a motorcycle dealership.

The arrest warrant said that Williams, 22 years old, killed the rapper "from a premeditated design." He was also charged for violating his parole and driving a vehicle without a license.

Williams is being held without bond. He has already appeared in court on Thursday and will return on Monday, June 25, for his probation violation trial.

"Homicide detectives are seeking additional suspects," revealed the Broward County Sheriff's Office. "The investigation continues."

XXXTentacion's mother, Cleopatra Bernard, revealed on Instagram that the rapper's current girlfriend is expecting their first child. Bernard shared a photo of an ultrasound on Thursday.
