Celebrity mom Mandy Teefey is dishing secrets about the close bond between her singer/actress daughter, Selena Gomez, and Taylor Swift.

On a Facebook Live interview last Thursday, May 24, ahead of the release of 13 Reasons Why Season 2 on Netflix, the producer revealed the secret behind the lasting friendships between the two pop stars.

Selena Gomez And Taylor Swift Are Celebrity BFFs

"What I love about that friendship is it's so solid," Teefey shared, "and with Taylor, I feel like they can tell each other anything, and it will be honest, in-your-best-interest kind of relationship. It's not about anything else, and it's one you don't just find out here."

Gomez and Swift met backstage of a Jonas Brothers concert more than a decade ago. At the time, Gomez was dating Nick and Swift was seeing Joe.

Even after those romances dissipated, the two female singer-songwriters remained friends and their bond continuously grow stronger in each passing year.

Teefey added that the dynamic between Gomez and Swift was never competitive.

"It's so hard to find someone who is kind of the same audience and it's so cutthroat right now," she added. "[T]hey came up together, they just have never parted, so it's really a true friendship.

Selena Gomez Celebrates 13 Years Of Friendship With Taylor Swift

Last Saturday, May 19, the "Wolves" singer made a surprise appearance during Swift's Reputation stadium tour stop at the Rose Bowl in California. In front of 60,000 screaming fans, Gomez called the pop-country superstar her "best friend."

The two performed a duet of Gomez's 2015 track "Hand To Myself," a song from her album Revival.

"Thank you to my best friend of now 12 years, almost 13, and the reason why she's been one of my best friends is this person has never ever judged a single decision I've made," the 25-year-old singer/actress said. "She's always met me where I've been. She's encouraged me when I've had nothing to be encouraged about."

As a response, the "Delicate" singer gave Gomez a playful push. Later that night, Swift shared a shot of her performance with Gomez on Instagram and wrote an equally sweet message on the caption.

Taylor Swift's 'Reputation Celebrity Guests

Gomez was not Swift's only celebrity guest at the Rose Bowl on Saturday night. Australian singer Troye Sivan also joined her onstage to perform "My My My!"

Shawn Mendes, who opened for Swift a few years back during her 1989 tour, also reunited with the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer in California to perform the hit "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back."
