Taylor Swift gives a heartfelt speech dedicated to fans who are part of the LGBTQ+ community.

During the Chicago stop of her reputation stadium tour on Saturday, June 2, the 28-year-old paused in the middle of the concert to express her support for Pride Month.

Taylor Swift's Message To The LGBTQ+ Community

"It's very brave to be vulnerable about your feelings in any situation, but it's even more brave to be honest about your feelings and who you love when you know that it might be met with adversity from society," Swift said before performing her hit single "Delicate."

"This month and every month I want to send my love and respect to everybody who has been brave enough to be honest about how they feel, to live their lives as they are, as they feel they should be, as they identify."

She even wore a rainbow-colored costume in honor for Pride Month and dedicated her performance of "Delicate" to her queer fans.

Swift has always been an ally of the LGBTQ+ community. Earlier this year, she addressed the homophobia in the music industry by standing up for fellow pop star Hayley Kiyoko who revealed her experience as an openly lesbian singer dealing with music executives.

She has also expressed admiration and support for her close friend Ruby Rose and even presented the former Orange is the New Black star with her GLAAD Stephen F. Kolzak Award in 2016.

"Delicate," a song from her new album reputation, is reportedly about her new beau Joe Alwyn, a British actor. The track advanced to the 34th spot of the Billboard Hot 100 this week.

A quirky music video directed by her constant collaborator Joseph Kahn landed on March 11.

Various Artists Celebrate Pride Month

Swift is not the only famous pop star who has voiced support for the LGBTQ+ community and kicked off Pride Month with emotional messages addressed to fans.

Ariana Grande also posted a letter on Billboard that talked about his gay brother, Frankie, whom she said she adores and the people who help her become who she is today.

"Love is like music," she wrote. "It knows no boundaries and isn't exclusive to any one gender, sexuality, race, religion, age or creed. It's a freedom and a delicious luxury that all people should be able to sink into and enjoy every moment of."

The 24-year-old's letter is first of the 30 letters that were written by famous personalities as part of Billboard's celebration of Pride Month.

On May 20, during the Billboard Music Awards, "New Rules" singer Dua Lipa said that she recognizes the importance of using her platform to encourage acceptance and expressing support for the LGBTQ+ community.
