Clarence House has just announced that Prince Charles tested positive with the coronavirus. This was reported by the AFP News Agency earlier.

Britain's Prince of Wales, 71 is said to have mild symptoms but remains to be in good health, according to a report from BBC. His wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, on the other hand, tested negative. The royal couple is now undergoing self-quarantine at Balmoral, Scotland.

Queen Elizabeth last saw her eldest son on March 12, but the palace said she remains to be in good health.

In a statement, it disclosed that the Queen "is following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare."

The statement declared that they are not certain how the Prince contracted the virus due to the high number of engagements from past weeks.
