The world of music mourned for the death of Charlie Watts, who passed away in August this year, and his passing made a significant impact on his bandmates, most especially Ronnie Wood, who was the last member of the group to visit him; what did they talk about during their last encounter?

According to Rock 107, the musician spoke to Ryan Tubridy on Ireland's "The Late Late Show," where he opened up about seeing Watts weeks before his death.

During their conversation in the same room where Ronnie Wood stayed for his cancer treatment, Watts told him, "This is the Ronnie Wood Suite. I can't wait to get out of here."

The guitarist replied, saying, "well, come out, Charlie, in your own good time."

At the time, the musician said his longtime friend had been doing well, but things took a different direction when Watts underwent several treatments that "he didn't handle well."

They also talked about his replacement in the drums, Steve Jordan, whom he said had Watts' blessing to go on tour with them.

"put a new boot in the band...and each concert got better and better," he said.

When Charlie Watts passed away at the age of 80 years old, Wood said all of the band members "handled it well," and he's sure the late drummer's presence is always with them whenever they perform on stage.

His cause of death was not released to the public, but the band previously announced that he wouldn't join them for their "No Filter" tour because he underwent an unknown procedure.

The remaining members of the band Wood, Mick Jagger, and Keith Richards paid tribute by posting on their social media accounts.

The statement reads, "Charlie was a cherished husband, father and grandfather, and also as a member of The Rolling Stones, one of the greatest drummers of his generation."

They also made a big move in their tour by replacing the color of their iconic logo from red to black.
